So I recently moved out for the first time. Which it is nice to be away from my mom and be own my own with privacy. Gym is like 5 min. walking distance. Overall nice place. I moved in with a friend and their girlfriend. It seemed like things would go great. All three of us signed a lease together. Problem is that their relationship is falling apart and my friend is trying to repair it. Trying to communicate and fix it.

Though, atleast from my prospective it does not seem to be going well. Kind of toxic and there has been arguing and yelling. No sex for 3 months after a argument that has started a 180 in personality change. To me it seems like the GF doesn't love my friend anymore. Though they desperately want to love them back. The problem I see other than the heartbreak is the fact that all three of us are on the lease and responsible for a place that is 1,800 a month. Which split 3 ways is 600.

Which is reasonable, though 900 a month or 1,800 if they both bounce would be way too much for me is my biggest worry, not to mention. The fallout from their breakup. Since the GF has been slamming doors. Throwing things around. Yelling. Refusing even small things like food that the friend cooks or to talk. It seems like my friend is desperately clinging on to a dying relationship. That should have ended months ago.

Plus also the GF has been kind of dick to me as well. So I just avoid them for both them being a dick and avoiding any drama.
I guess this thread can be about other bullshit you have dealt with or dealing with in regards to roommates of family members.

Get a partner yourself so when the GF leave you can still share the lease three ways.

>>799803 Oh, this anon actually said some tensai-thing! Maybe if you add one more friend and your probable partner - it can be even better?

>>799729 God I wish I could. You know how expensive a shoebox is around here. It is like 1,200$ just for some of the cheapest places around here.
Oh boy they had another argument. With the GF slamming doors and yelling. Ahhhhhh childhood memories.

>>799921 No,she is extremely annoying and I would not want a GF who is slamming doors and overall could break a relationship over something extremely petty and small.
>>799848 Thank you mouthfuck-chan,I will consider your advice.

>>799936 I have another solution! Let your friend became your partner! If you show her how correct relationship works - she may change her attitude.

I've had the same roommate for a decade now. We get on well by not intruding on each other too much. I intentionally work a different shift, bills & responsibilities are split. Only way I could see it working, tbh

Oof this is a tough situation to be in. Best solution would be to replce the GF with someone else, either with another friend or someone who's looking for a room (there are apps for that, like Badi, but other options would be better depending of your country).
The tricky part of this would be to actually kick the GF tho, neither her and your friend would want that.

Well,I just kicked a door down because the friend thought the gf had tried to kill themselves since they were not making a single peep. After the friend was freaking the fuck out about it since they have never done this before and have a long history of mental illness. Now there is a broken door of which I am going to have to repair. God I don't want to do this bullshit anymore.

>>800067 well, there is also a lease all are signed on. So they would have to willingly leave the lease as well.

>>800301 Op, I'm sorry, but this GF saga is kinda exciting. So there wasn't a suicide attempt? The GF was just quiet for no reason?

>>800304 sulking, not saying anything. Absolutely quiet. Was even trying to get the door knob unlocked and even took it apart partially. Asking if they were ok and alive and no answer. So that lead the friend to freak out and ask me to kick the door down. And they went to the toilet to vomit right before I did it. I just wanted cheap rent and to live with a friend.

I kind of want to cry for some reason but, I don't know why.

Huh, uhh... sounds like the GF got depression, and so does your roomate, and at this point probably you too, op. You sound tired.
I really dunno what advice I can give other than seeking some form of professional help, maybe?

>>800336 I live in America, that shit is expensive. Unfortunately. Mine goes away more so when material conditions change. I have had a history of it. Though it practically went away once I got a job and some money and a stable loving situation and also went outside. The girlfriend also just threw a fit after a discussion and just cut themselves intentionally.

Well, tried to sit down for a solid 3-4 hours and hash out some sort of living situation. And the GF was together mentally during it. Now after going over literally every possible solution. They have stormed off and no agreement is made. Fuck this cunt. I am loosing sleep, had to take 550mg of caffeine just to function, and all so she can act all angry at literally every solution put forward I have been mulling over for those 3 hours.

280and6'2 and a g/u/rl with a penis who does manual labor for my job.I got some chub but,I am not like an absolute fatass(although I am working on it and hoped to go to the gym regularly and even fix my diet because this is the first time moving out and within the first month of me leaving my house for the first time I am dealing with a self harming, autistic and depressive girlfriend who will not accept any comprise or solution without throwing a fit)My heart did feel funny though.

Well, they broke up. And there isn't any major breakdowns or screaming. Now they have agreed to a tangible way to arrange living after they broke up. Finally hopefully some peace and quiet.
