Why do some people not have plushies?

They're cute and nice merch, but also not too jarring for people who don't know the source material, at least imo.

Fumo and other plushies (merch ones especially) are still pretty fuckspensive though... Like, I could technically afford one or two if I save for a while, but there still this feeling of "that's a lot of money to spend on a toy that's just gonna collect dust"

I'm hugging them when I sleep, when I'm watching stuff, when I'm on couch, when I play vidya, and the sad times where I can't hug them for a bit I'll tuck them in or sit them down to watch something wholesome until I'm back.

I started collecting plushies/rag dolls very recently, and they've been hitting a similar spot for me. I especially like big 40" dolls, they're really nice to hold.
No Fumos here. I haven't been into Touhou for a long time.
