| Twitter hates her because she's a TERF, or at least TERF-adjacent. More right leaning spaces hate her because she's still too left-leaning for them. People who take writing/reading seriously hate her because the Harry Potter books did irreparable damage to fiction as a whole by spawning an endless deluge of imitators.
Personally I think they're not horrible, though I like and care about the world far more than the characters.
