Distract yourself. Start drawing, learn to code, play your favorite game and make some coffee/tea. The world is harsh, be nice to yourself with treats.

The three biggest causes for bad mental health are: not enough exercise, lacking social connections and bad vascular health.
If your life is lacking in any of these three then you need to find a way to work it into your life. I know it sucks and is hard, especially for us with autism or ADHD, but there are no shortcuts and in the end we're responsible for our own happiness.

>>774360 Distracting yourself won't fix depression. It will eventually catch up with you and you'll be as hollow as ever.
I have seen far too many young men sink themselves into online videogames, object oriented programming, netsec etc that either ended up commiting suicide or burned out.

what works for me most days is mindfulness exercises, which for me is usually counting things, meditating, or taking a shower. I usually have to do that & start to feel better before I can get exercise or socialize, but when I am less depressed those things help put it away for longer. when I was at my worst though, I think the only thing that would have helped other than waiting it out was antidepressants tbh.

>>774368 Distracting yourself won't cure things. But it will make things a lot easier, so please don't pretend like it's a bad thing to do. Constantly pushing yourself leads to hurting yourself really, really badly. Taking care of yourself and doing nice things for yourself, spending time on hobbies, all of that can help you get the energy needed to work on yourself and can make you feel way better. You can't constantly work on things. That just exhausts you even more mentally.

>>774368 Oh I see. As >>774400 said I don't want for OP to only distract and nothing else. Sorry to be confusing!
To add onto what I said, also **go to therapy** if you can afford it. Therapy can help a lot, but you need to be open to it (and financially stable enough for it, where I am it's free but idk where you live OP). If you can't afford therapy, start journaling. Journaling can help sort out mental spaghetti so it doesn't feel super overwhelming.

You have to figure out what is causing your depression. Not problem can fixed if the problem is not known.

There are parts of your daily life you found unbearable, try point them out and fix them or get away from them.
