>>739722 Idk about emo anything but i kinda hate how they're somehow both on that "no objectify me" feminism and yet literally ALL OF THEM have the exact same ahegao pic, ntm the aesthetic of pink hair, fuzzy insta filter, some kind of star sticker on their cheek or something
like when i see them i feel the same disinterest as seeing a row of identical ugg boot wearing Kellys with dyed blonde middle part hair and frappucinos. It's boring.

I have high admiration for authentic hard-core true goth girls. The girls that wear leather, throw on black jeans and skull shirts, ride bikes out at night, listen to the purest of the real deal and just don't give a fuck. Sadly a rare breed. All we have nowadays are boring people and whores. Pink turns blue, "Master's calling".

>>739748 I have a lot of negative things I can say about egirls, but this is something that I will defend.
Being sexy and showing off doesn't equal "I'm just an object". Like, for real. Being proud of yourself and showing off is good.
A lot of people seem to think that girls are either "conservative female who's borderline asexual" or "shallow sex doll that isn't human", which is just retarded. Grow up. Being proud of yourself and also being a human is actually possible.

I miss emos now. I regret the hate I had for them in the day.

Now, do I like that the way they choose to show off is just through brainless trends and shit isn't something I'm a big fan off, but thinking that it's fine to treat someone as an object just because they like to show off is just dumb.

>>740255 Yes but there is a huge difference between being sexy and doing your thing and literally aping and catering to the kinds of behaviours we dont want men to associate with us-namely being sexy for their sake in all the ways already described itt
Like i just dont get how making a face popularised in doujins for being fucked silly and mimicking super docile, infantilized attitudes is helpful to anyone, at all. If it's about making a buck that's fair ig-but thats how i feel.

>>740256 I still think the style was just...ugly but i for sure cringe at how much disdain i had for them as if it mattered.

>>740257 That absolutely isnt what is being said. It's more that by catering to those attitudes and playing up that kind of docile "fuck me daddy uwu" sexuality they arent challenging any of that crap in the mainstream and are simply using it to make a buvk. Which as I said above is distasteful to me but fair in this world of money. It doesnt mean I have to like it though.

>>740273>>740275 I ain't saying you gotta like it. I'm just saying that it's not objectifying yourself or supporting objectification.
This might be a weird example, but it's sort of like comedy. It's something you do to invoke a certain emotion or express a certain mood, but that doesn't mean that all you are is entertainment, or in this case, eye candy.
An extreme example would be pornstars. They don't support objectification. They're just normal people delivering a service.

It's not their fault that a lot of people are too simple and close minded to understand that people have depth, even if they mostly express only one or two sides of themselves publicly.
And, again, I ain't saying you gotta like it, and basically all TikTok shit like that is shit that I'm not a huge fan of myself. I just think it's dumb to say that being seductive and doing that kinda shit is the same as supporting/fueling objectification of women, because it really isn't.

>>740314 I have to just fundamentally disagree with you there. A sex worker is someone doing a job ad providing a service. Someone in a position of media is also complicit in what that media represents. If you think mainstream porn (not porn itself mind you) doesnt foster attitudes of objectification you're absolutely wrong. Everything about it is optics and parcelling off womens bodies as accessible and fuckable. Which is why stuff like femporn and indie porn exists to combat it.

>>740314 Reckoning with my own internalised ideas abt sex and femininity is a constant process but I just cannot endorse behaviour that chiefly caters to the sexual entitlement of straight dudes anymore.
