Another night with bad thoughts about existential crises.

G/u/rls, I have trouble sleeping because of some scary intrusive thoughts. It doesn't happen all the time except for right now. Anyone know how to cope and relax??

Try to distract and tire yourself out before sleep. Read a book. I've heard exercising also help.

Exercise during the day always makes sleeping a lot easier for me.

Unfortunately, you have to think really hard about them and just wait for them to pass...

Exercising during the day is good. Try jogging or do jumping jacks(if your downstairs neighbour is OK with it). If you eat meals that are bad for your blood pressure and/or heart it can also influence your thoughts negatively without you knowing it.
If reading a book is too tiresome late at night try manga with the tachiyomi app.
Or if possible try talking to someone. If you have no one to talk to try wholesome discord servers like https://discord.gg/jMfMJSyp or even omegle.

What's so special about late evening/night time that makes me think exclusively depressing thoughts?

>>736481 thankfully a couple of my friends were awake while I couldn't sleep. Granted, it was 4am at the time and they live in a further time zone. But I did manage to feel drowsy enough to log off the chat and sleep.
I think my diet may have to do with my mood, now that you mention. I havent had the best meals as of late, I had some severe heart burn a couple of weeks ago.
