I don't go there but I took a glance and each thread have like, 50 replies? 100 replies??
Y'all like picking fights apparently. I'm glad it's all contained within that board. Thank you for your hard work, mods.

It's kinda funny to read. There are some people there who are legitimely brainwashed. It wouldn't be cyberpunk without them.

>>736371 I think the problem is more that people think everyone but them is brainwashed so the all just argue about whose opinion is right.

I disagree, /news/ is a dumpster fire of a board full of murican trash news and politics ripped straight from 4chan, frequent posters included.
I understand that it's a containment board but i'd rather prefer for it to not exist and just apply the banhammer to any toxic poster who babbles about politics, throws racial slurs or just forces arguments elsewhere. If these people don't get attention they eventually leave.

>>736393 >people think everyone but them is brainwashed
I don't think most people see the world this way. Only a minority appears brainwashed and they can't be talked with about any issue at all, unlike most people who you can easily debate even if you disagree.

>>736393 If you meet a brainwashed person in the morning, you met a brainwashed person.
If you meet brainwashed people all day, you're the brainwashed person.

>>736433 how about we ban people who are bothered by /new/? If they cant see the board they will eventually forget about it.

>>736484 Sorry, I meant "everyone on the board." Which really meant, "everyone on the board they disagree with." In pretty much every thread that turns into an argument, you can see that someone assumed at some point that the other person is forever incapable of understanding something they think is simple. If the first person just helped explain in language that implied that it was their communication mistake, rather than the other person's understanding mistake, I think it would

It's not a trash fire, it's OUR trash fire, you capitalist scum.
Anyways, there is this one bit in VA-11 Hall-A with Stella and Art having a discussion that I would like to turn into a banner for /new/ one of these days.

Let's not forget mods made /new/ what it is now. There use to be no real news on there, or rarely ever, until they moderated that board more heavily and started posting news articles

>>736636 The opposite is actually true. 2 years ago they had a sticky with rules about posting and you needed to post source for all your threads or else they got locked.
Today we have no rules and zero moderation. They just lock threads that derails into off-topic shit-flinging.
The users made /news/ what it is today. There's no question about it.

Yeah but see that initial stance set it into motion. Mods would post their news articles after that, they still do. The ones that exceed the character limit are posts by mods.
Before that, /new/ was filled with memes and never had any real discussions

>>736684 Are you really trying to blame the mods for the actions of the userbase? That's just petty.
and afaik the mods news articles(which started like 2 weeks ago) got 0 responses so I dunno what you're complaining about.
