Hi. G/u/rl who got institutionalised and shit earlier. I don't know if anyone remembers my threads about the times I've gotten institutionalised, and I don't even know if I said it there.
But basically, when you arrive at an institution, they do some basic health check-ups, which includes weight. That's how we found out that I was about 6-8kg less than I should be and my weight was, well, getting unhealtily low.
(This is a venting thread btw for the people who don't like that)

(I'm also the g/u/rl who posted in the other weight related thread that's up rn)
But because of something I had to fill out today I had to check my weight, and wouldn't you fucking know it. I still weigh the same as I did when I got put in last time.
I've been trying so fucking hard. So fucking hard. To eat more. Eat at least 3-4 times a day. Eat more and more for those meals. For, like, 2-3 months straight. And absolutely fucking nothing has changed. I'm so fucking sick of this.

I have had a similar problem and a friend told me the secret to gaining (healthy) weight peanut butter. eat lots of peanut butter. its got lots of protein in it which your body needs to make muscles.

as counter intuitive as it seems a great way of gaining weight is exercise. this does not have to be something like going to the gym regularly it can be something as simple and small as a 7-10 minute workout every day. it helps with gaining a big apatite and also means that your body is using more proteins to build muscle mass you might loose weight at first but that's just fat and you will start gaining weight again soon enough. (you will also have the nice benefit of being fit).

>>726299 all calories in vs out, you can count and using a meal replacement can help (not here to sell you shit) that community has seen a lot of people who eat to much or too little and likes that they can just grab a bottle of 400 balanced calories and not worry too much
Big players in the space in the us would be jimmy joy, huel, and soylent you can probably find a soylent to try at target or kroger if you're not opposed to them

Otherwise just start counting what you're eating, when you find the number you maintain at increase it by 250 to 500 ish I think that should be slow weight gain

>>726304 Funny thing actually, I'm allergic to nuts, so my weight would just got extremely quickly down if I did that.
>>726305 I have actually started working out at a nearby gym. Haven't done it now during Holliday stuff, but I'm gonna be going back soon enough.
>>726386 How do I do that? Do I have to, like, carefully inspect the packaging of everything in my meal?

Since you're not in the us, good options are I believe saturo, huel, Mana (?) Probably a handful of others if you're eu there's more comptition in that market
"Carefully inspect the packaging" I mean yes but no, idk if it's us only but there's some apps that track calories you can just scan the barcode of whatever and it usually has everything there takes like 30s if it works, Or just read nutrition facts it's always at the top here

Might not be fun but it's useful to know if you're trying to manage weight, but if you're lazy you could probably just eat another sandwich every day or something I guess

>>726467 Well, second problem. I live in Europe, but like, not fully? As in, we're a country in Europe but we don't have the convenience store chains and shit that other countries here have, so I genuinely have no idea where to get stuff like that because I've never heard of or seen it anywhere here. Maybe there is some stuff like that in the boujee area of the capital, but that's 4 hours of both bus and train.
>>726468 That's kinda what I've been trying. Just gotta be better ig.

It's usually ordered online, commonly it's a powder you mix with water or milk, or a drink known as RTD or ready to drink
Being in Europe just makes shipping not cost an arm and a tank of jet fuel
I personally loved saturo's chocolate when they were trying to expand to the us but ymmv
Site is https://saturo.com/ Huel can be found https://huel.com/
If you're not reddit opposed check out r/soylent

And also of note this is a super weird nitch product, and people will think you're weird
I got into it because I don't usually get much enjoyment from eating in the first place so having something I can just grab and drink helped keep me from skipping meals

Why not go to the doctor...you know, someone who specialises in health and wellbeing and is the only person who should actually assist in diets

>>726603 You know, I never asked for this. I just wanted to vent out some frustration. People just started saying "do this", and it seems to come from a good place so I'll be looking into all this stuff.
>>726595 What you say about shipping there is, hmm. I live in Norway. Shipping costs for basically anything is more expensive than the product itself, and I'm not rich homie. If I buy a $5 pair of socks on Amazon I'll be paying $15-20 total, if I'm lucky.

>>726622 oof I'm afraid I'm not aware of anything made local to Norway and looks like other people have already been fucked by fees
375 NOK for the meals, 404 NOK in customs fees

>>726682 Jesus fucking Christ... 779kr for one or a few meals? That's actually insane. I don't give a shit if that would help with getting my weight up, because I would be broke by the end of the week.
>>726665 I might consult with a PT instead. I don't have one rn, but, I could probably chat up one who isn't busy. I also have a friend who basically dedicates his whole life to working out, so he might know some stuff as well.
