Can you draw on paper with amber?

| Weird question. But could you use amber in any way like a pencil? To write on paper or a hard surface. I read it's around 2 on the mohs scale, resinous. So would it scrape like lead (graphite)?

| you can draw with absolutely any material that is physical, it's just that some of them are more difficult to put into ductile forms. whether it scrapes in its natural form or not doesn't matter that much, good if it does, but if it doesn't you can just pulverize a sample and mix it with binding agents or just shape it and let it dry. you can try different combinations and see what does it for you, and that topic is right behind the door that says Chemistry over there.

| Thank you, that really helps actually. I'll look up some more about what you've said.
