>>720556 one. Plus, it sounds kinda wrong if we pronounce it as spoil-duh. Same applies with boiled, coiled, etc.

Kids are a concentrate of the worst of humanity. They are disgusting, selfish, dumb, cruel. Babies are more on the disgusting side, but same shit.

>>720924 Man. Nobody has ever heard about good parenting, huh? But nah. Blame the kids, because how to act and treat others is common knowledge so they should know it already. Not shitting themselves and screaming? Just beat them and if they don't learn on their own best then harder.
For real though. Every time I see people say they hate kids it's almost always just for shit that has nothing to do with the actual kid but with it's parents.

Real question though - is hating kids (or, I guess, lack of a desire to be a parent) a sign of infantilism?
Post number #720955, ID: 8fb985

>>720953 Probably something like that, yeah. Just not mentally mature.

No, it's a sign that we tend to look at people (kids in this case) in a one-dimensional way instead of 1. As a real, complete person and 2. As a product of their experiences. The idea that people 'mature' into <whatever you agree with> kind of is another example of that, just aimed at adults

I'm the one who started this thread and I find your opinions very interesting, bad parenting is ONE of the reasons in my opinion kids do think and act on their own tho' IMHO the problem is that you can't really defend yourself, if you give them scolding you suddenly are the worst person on earth, and people just won't respect your opinion. Yeah bandits are the fruit of errors in our society too but this isn't a excuse for me to not hate them.

I hate the idea that you have to have kids to be successful. It ruins so many people. Instead, you need to be successful in order to consider having kids. So many people mess this up.

>>720977 Wot? Where the fuck do you need kids to be successful?

>>721005 So your parents being like that is how you set the standard for what society seems as successful? I feel like most people just, don't think like that.

It's not just about bad parenting. Kids don't understand morals (well, most people don't, but they're no better), which make them do crap. Moreover, you can blame bad parenting all you want, the ones responsible are still the kids. Or else, the parents who do the bad parenting aren't responsible, because their parents were responsible, etc.

>>721008 Most people see having kids as required for a successful life. Just like having a family in general. It is ofen seen as abnormal to not get married or whatever, and even more abnormal to be married but not to have kids. Not everyone thinks like that, but most people do, because that's what shown everywhere as the example to follow.
Post number #721016, ID: 8fb985
|
>>721010 That's why you teach them morals. Again, bad parenting.
And no, what you say at the end is just false. When you're older that shit is all on you, because your brain is developed, your brain is capable of having a solid personality and you're able to understand shit like that. If you're a cunt at that point then that's fully a choice.
But kids are incapable of that. Like, this is very, very basic knowledge, but so many people still act like kids are fully developed.

Talking about maturity. I don't think it exists tbh. Not in the way people use it. So many adults are fucking childish (and sometimes just human). I hate it when people use "mature" on certain personalities or want to act mature (while they are not internally). Just stop using this word please, it doesn't make sense
Post number #721042, ID: 8fb985

>>721039 The word does make sense, but it's used incorrectly a lot.
Actually being mature is, like, basically the same as being wise essentially. Making good and smart decisions, keeping a cool head, being rational and not acting purely out of emotion when it counts.
I know people who are childish, but also mature. As in they can act pretty silly and childishly a lot and not act stereotypically "adult", but when it counts they act like what I described above. That's being mature.
