I'm really happy to finally get my hands on RoW, and would love to be able to talk about the book a bit as I read along of something.

Hmm. I've never heard of him before, but after a quick Google search and literally judging a book by it's cover I'd say RoW looks pretty cool!

Yo!!! Another Stormlight Archive fan!! Hello!!!
I got Rythm of War on on release day, which is a thing I've never done before! I'm still halfway through reading it... and tbh I have mixed feelings.
I still love the series and want to see where it's going, but I feel like Sanderson might start to trip over his own plot? So many things are going on! What the heck is Investiture? Damnation is just another planet? Odium is a "vessel"? What? What? What?

And I know he's been doing Weird Sideplot Foreshadowing since book 1, but this far in, I just want to know what's happening with the main characters, not being burdened with even more characters (it's getting harder to keep track of them all!) and even more worldbuilding.
Still love all the main characters, though.

I read the first one. Took me awhile to finish though.
Not sure when I'll try the rest.

>>718176 Heh, I was downright offended when I realise it's 1k pages long and it's planned to be a 10-book series. Like, who got time to read all that?
And then I finished book 1 in, like, three days.

Oh! If any of you g/u/rls want to know more about this series and/or see my descend to madness, I wrote a review of book 1 in my blog: https://pseudomon.wordpress.com/2020/05/25/a-grand-design-of-building-anticipation/
I have also seen that g/u/rl and I was not even fazed. There are many sanderson fans out there, he's not exactly niche anymore since the other bestseller fantasy outhors disappeared from earth or are in retirement bathing in money.

Also, if I may add something, he's the nicest person I have ever met, ever. I saw him when he came to Eurocon and he signed me Elantris and the latest mistborn book. He patiently asked everyone if they had any questions, and stayed up really late in the bookstore until everyone had their books signed.
I believe he's unable to do this anymore since the amount of people attending these things is enormous, but he will still answer anything on mail/reddit and so on.
