Knives are just awesome

| Pocket knives? Hunting knives? Combat knives? Balisongs? Kukri? Karambits? Knives with darkened blades? Knives with curved handles? I love them all! My personal collection is not all that big so far, but it's not going to remain this way for too long, hopefully (•⌄• ू)✧

| Indeed!

| Reminds me, I feel like getting a new knife .3.

| Where I live you can own any knife but can't carry a weapon other than a handgun concealed

so some knives like balisong are less legal to carry because "they're fighting knives"

Oh but open carry is fine

| Was curious what the name "balisong" was, and it's just butterfly knives that was originated in the Philippines.

| This thread has a powerful energy that I'm kind of scared of.

| Don't be scared, you can actually grab a blade and remain uninjured, blades only really cut in a slicing motion so as long as you're hands don't slide down the blade you're fine

This idea was put to use in the historical technique of "half swording" where a person would grab their sword blade to gain more control of the tip usually for thrusting into the gaps of armor

Also seen was the "mordhau" or murder stroke preformed by holding the blade and striking with the guard or pommel

| Ah, I want to get a new blade so badly ;-;

| The one thing I want to get are one of those Russian Spetsnaz survival machetes. I don't know why, but just looking at the design is intriguing

| i find em cool in video games and when cutting fruit but otherwise have no great interest

| i love knives in *theory* but i don't have any bc i don't know where to start... any tips/recs or anything? personal favorites?

| >>713316 Just find one that suits you, a friend got me a Gerber folding knife for my birthday/Christmas present. Has a smooth blade at the front with a serrated teeth at the end

| >>713344 i just looked that up, some of those look really good. thanks for the reply^^
