How did you g/u/rls find your passion in life?

| I'm making this thread partly because I have this weird almost anxious feeling in my chest at the moment (similar to the one I used to have back in HS when I knew I had a test for the next day that hadn't studied for) when I think about going to work, it's the same place I've worked for the last year. It's in a restaurant, it feels for me like I'm gonna be stuck there forever because Im scared of trying new things, I'm scared of failing and deeply of never find my passion in life

| I know that feeling. I haven't even gotten through school because of that feeling of being stuck. Ruined me so badly I had to be sent to a mental institution and have multiple support groups trying to figure out wtf to do with me.

Passions are something that you just kinda, get. You need to look around about. Try thinking about things that aren't your work or your everyday routine. Try to relax and find new hobbies and things you enjoy in your spare time.

Good luck.

| All I want a painless death. Sooner the better.

| I have no passions. All I want is revenge.

| To be the edgiest mofo there ever was

| I just kind of thought "If i didnt need to do anything what would i want to do?" and figured it out from there

| I was just trying everything until I've found my passion.

Good advice, thanks. I'll try.

This is the real advice.

| Do you have a hobby? There must be at least one thing you love to do in your spare time.

| I'm not sure I found my passion yet. It feels like I'm adequate at everything I try, so I can't pick something and focus on it...and I have low self-esteem most of the time, so I don't even recognize people actually enjoy whatever I make and put my heart into it for the moment. Impostor syndrome got me bad.

| You don't just "find" your passion randomly. You start working on something, literally fuxking anything that even remotely interests you. And then you keep working. And you keep working. And you keep fuxking working, day in and day out. And when you've worked on something enough (the oh-so-popular 10000 hours mark is not too far off, actually) you become pretty good at it and it becomes your passion. And that is all there is to it. It still has to be something you want to do though
