Why is /u/ diferente from the vast majority of chans

| I've been to some chans and most of them are made entirely out of complete apes who can't act normal, but here people are almost always nice with each other. Is it because of va11halla? It's because it's relatively small?

| both

| >>704418 the 2nd reason most likely

| >>704418
Because only g/u/rls run this place. G/u/ys don't exist.

| Yeah, it's small. It's based on VA-11 Hall-A, which I feel has some pretty good values that automatically weeds some of the trash away.

And I know some people don't like it, but I appreciate that the mods step in and close threads that get too toxic.

| >>704418 Pray tell what other "chans" you have been to besides 4chan,8chan,2chan. I'm curious

| Images not being here helps as you have to put a little more effort to shitpost

| The small size, but it really goes through phaeses, i think it's been nicer than average lately

| Also, i unironically think the g/u/rls thing helps dismiss/bait some kinds of more toxic people

| >>704481
>i think it's been nicer than average lately

Now that you mention it, yeah. There used to be a lot of racist, anti-LGBT, science-denying and trump-shilling here a while ago but it has pretty much died down. These last few months has been extra comfy.

| because random is /u/ instead of /b/.

| Ever visited /new?

| Only 4 ppl + maids use this site anyway.

| >>704493
>There used to be a lot of racist, anti-LGBT
hello

| >>704493
you base your level of comfiness based of whether people disagree with you or not?

| >>704514
No, why would you think that?

Using this site to spread hateful ideologies is anti-comfy however.

| >>704519 G/U/R/L i think>>18f860 is emplying that you acusse others of hate speech when they dissagree with you.

| >>704481 true, the toxic levels have slowed down this month

| >>704504
God, it's so depressing to see /new/ stuff in other boards. I really want this place to remain comfy :(

| >>705373
The guy literally stood up and claimed to be a racist and sexist though. There's a few more of them in /new/.

Dunno what your point but is.

| >>705373
There are several posters in /new/ who have repeatedly voiced pro-racist, pro-fascist and anti-LGBT ideologies and proudly stood by them. They all have very unique typography too so they're not as anonymous as they think. Hello btw!

| >>e6463d
As someone who's been here only since July, I'm glad I missed what went down here beforehand

| will it ever be as comfy as it once was

| from before I mean

| >>705395 >>705396 why such aggresiveness in words G/U/R/L/S?
I guess that is how they do in /new/ .

| >>705434 sorry but I think not, by the logic: the bigger a site gets, the more toxic people get in, /u/ is only gonna get worse from here. I saw a G/U/R/L who said something interesting

| "How to end toxicity 101: dont use negative words such as dislike or hate since it promotes hate speech
Dont make bad jokes since the people who dont get it will be offended and ruin it turning into a discussion
Dont share opinions
Dont even talk since you might exgange opinions and somebody will be offended
Your opinion is a lie because I say so
Any attempts to be reasonable are to be called toxic"

| "If you go on a thread that might trigger you from just the title you go anyways and attack those who call you out, as they are toxic
If person says that they dont want to disscuss you call them out for running and that they dont have any proper arguements so they are toxic
If you derail a thread then its the person who triggered you who is at fault for being toxic
If they say your iponion is invalid then they win by default, no proof needed, since its toxic to prove your point"

| I think they were being sarrcastic(or a G/U/Y), but ussually when a site gets to this state, it means that it is very toxic.

| Do you G/U/R/L/S consider /u/ to be like this?

| >>705444
No.

The toxicity we have here are mostly derogatory one-liners and political shilling. I literally have no idea what you're talking about.

| >>705452 I dont think /u/ is like that too, but I wanted to know the opinion of other G/U/R/L/S, but I have seen somethings like that here unfourtunatly.

| >>705452

^ this pretty much.

the claims of toxicity are heavily exaggerated. Anytime a thread gets to the point where its like two or three people samefagging each other the thread tends to be nuked from orbit anyway.

| Oh, and I also think that the fact that this is a textboard stops a lot of low-quality image spam.

But I'm pretty sure that 95% of the reason is that Danger/u/ is small b/c we can see the same comfy feel in Sushichan even though it's an imageboard.

| >>705549
Funny that you mention Sushi, just yesterday I was there for the first time since years. Nice place. If I think about it I only visit small and slow places

| Sushichan is pre comf, yeah.

| A month or two ago it seemed like there was a sort of dangeru wholesomeness movement to make better threads and fight less, as a reaction to a few trolls and other people that were shitting it up. There have been similar discussions at other times too. Obviously on some boards that kind of thing can't work, but a good culture is something that people have put effort into keeping up and still will need to

| Not that all places should be all wholesome but at the time i think it's what we needed

| >>705576 I hate when people start shit on threads that are obviously not meant to be about an overarching discussion, like in the "things people hate" thread, some anom started to say that it was a hate speech thread and then thw whole thing became a shitshow, like chill, not every title is ecxactly as it seems to be, read the thread and read the freaking room

| even if i'm here since 2018, i usually stay away for several months so idk very well what happened to danger/u/, but i'm glad that it's better now

| Danger/u/ has changed a lot honestly,i mean even /cyb/ has nearly died these past few weeks,in the past that was impossible,of course /lain/ is still dead

| No toxicity here. Just some annoying and low quality one-liners that will just stop if you ignore them. And even most of those are on their own containment board.

| >>705703 get owned, ooooooooooohhhh!!!!
...bitch

Jk, <3

| In most parts of the internet there will always be trolls and shitposters who ruin the fun of others.

In this place, that role falls to me.

The reason this place is different because I'm a gentleman, clearly :^)
