I'm currently approaching my last years of school, and I never felt like I had any sort of meaningful connection with my classmates (3 years now).
I feel that I'm handling my sadness rather well, but I also feel that I should fix this.
...At this point; should I try to look towards newer people? I feel more comfortable talking with strangers, anyways.

If you feel more comfortable talking to strangers, then yeah! Definitely. Entering already established "groups" in school can be kinda sucky. So look for others, or for people in your class who seem nice and open.
The only way to get past social anxiety is by being social, potentially some therapy if it's really bad, and a lot of practice!
And by practice I don't mean going through conversations in your head or talking to yourself, but rather the opposite. Just throw yourself in.
