So earlier last month I wrote that I got a job, and it's been a great job so far! But they're considering opening up for dine-in again and I don't feel comfortable with that. Not only that, but I'm kind of struggling with online school and feel like I need to focus on school more.
I desperately need the money though; my family won't help me buy medicine (and I want to be able to buy stuff I want too lol) (1/2 or 3?)

I don't want to possibly bring covid back home and infect any of my family, especially my grandparents. Online university has been kicking my ass since quarantine started, and I went from a good student to barely passing assignments. My mental health has been on a decline since the start of all this, and while I want to be hopeful things will be better soon I know it won't. My school probably won't reopen until Spring 2022 or something, seeing how things are. (2/3)

I don't know what I should do. The pay's decent (they actually pay minimum wage + tips), my coworkers are great, and I enjoy the work I do. But I'm just not sure if I can actually do this right now. (3/3)
TLDR: I like my new job and need money but school, corona, and mental health makes me consider quitting.

Im not sure how your education system works but cant you just not fully take all of your classes? So you can have a wiggle room between your job and school?

That's a tough choice. Is there anything you can do to convince the manager to not open up dine-in, at least? Get your coworkers on-board too maybe?
But that doesn't stop the problem with your school. I really don't suggest quitting especially if you actually like the work and your coworkers are great.

>>702066 I was in the same situation a while back and this solution worked for me. I worked part-time and on my off days I would do school work. In between semesters I would add on more days to my work schedule so I wouldn't have to worry too much about debt. On top of that I worked overtime so I could make some extra money. FAFSA also really helps if you're in America.

>>702108 For the being able to buy stuff you want part just hold back a bit. If you want something wait for sales. If the thing you want doesn't go on sale check to see if you got spare cash. If you don't have anything to spare you either got to make a sacrifice (for example I refused to eat) or just suck it up and wait for your next check. Honestly health comes first so please don't go for the sacrifice option. I hope this helps and doesn't seem too retarded or anything.

>>702058 I think you should stay in that job, but ask for another turn or, in the meantime, search for a other job that you feel comfortable or be better for you schoolar life
