Whenever I had sleep paralysis my eyes will always still be closed (can't move duh) so I don't get these accounts of "I open my eyes but I can't move and there is a demon on top of me".
What really does happen to me is that whenever I got one I started hallucinating "being awake". In other words, I'll be dreaming being in my room just like when I went to bed, but something will be different and the dream feels so real.

So I had assumed that's what people experience too but they mistook it for being awake. Recently due to the amount of sleep paralysis I got I kinda can tell when it happens and instead of freaking out I tried analyzing the hallucination or doing things in it as if in a lucid dream.

Oh forgot to mention that there is never a demon ever. The scariest thing that happened during a sleep paralysis is that I checked my phone (which I always do whenever I woke up) and saw that my phone has been infected with a "horror prank" virus. Though recently I hallucinated that someone, 100% human, was sitting on my chair which is right next to my bed. That's the closest I ever get to a "demon".

I haven't seen a demon once. I've had sp several times, and half of them it seemed like someone is standing in the shadows, and other times I was just waiting with closed eyes when this ends.
