When people ask me for advice or help in a situation they're in, I always understand the full or at least the most important parts of a situation from just the little bit of information I get, and when they find out more or progress more in said situation I always turn out to be right.
When it comes to just basic logical stuff I also always understand it no problem and it's very easy to help people with it and, idk. It just feels kinda weird. I don't like that feeling.

Even when it comes to school and stuff this applies. I get good grades without ever putting effort into it, and it just makes all of it feeling meaningless to the point that I dropped out.
People often call me "smart" and compliment me on it, but, it just feels off. I feel like I understand a lot of things no problem and it comes naturally, but, I just don't like it for some reason.
It makes things feel very meaningless and shit, and I don't know why I of all people am like this.

This is a gift that facilitates your movement through life.
Don't begrudge it.

>>687264 You're not the first to say something along those lines. I don't feel like it's a "gift" though. Or if it is, I'm not using properly maybe?
It's a passive As cliche'd as it sounds, other people would kill to have the kind of social cohesion and capacity to quickly understand concepts that you do.
Maybe you just need a bit of ego death to balance it out. Consider LSD.

>>687269 I don't really have much of an ego. I don't view myself highly or above others in any way. Like, I'm partially content with myself, but that's the extent of it.
I know that some people view it as something good. Something to, like, strive for and stuff. Idk though. I see some benefits, like being able to help people pretty well and easily, but it just feels wrong in a way.

>>687262 simply, meet with people equal or smarter than you ^^ you are pretty dumb if you don't have this solution in your mind. If you really can't, use your talent for something and visit specific communities, for example astrophysics is usually difficult, or learn programming.. everyone needs a rivals :P

Meanwhile here I am, dumb as a brick, but people for some reason think I'm smart. It's probably the glasses. Believe you me, this sucks even more.
Post number #687336, ID: 42d19f

>>687315 I don't give a fuck about astrophysics. Programming is cool but I can't be bothered to actually get into it. I also really don't care about the intelligence or whatever of the people around me. I have a lot of really good friends. There's also the fact that talking to people who are as smart as me wouldn't change the fact that this all makes a lot of things feel way too easy and/or meaningless.
>>687319 Ah, yeah. "My situation is worse than yours." Cool.

I have a little bit of the same problem. One thing that helps me feel less uncomfortable is trying to teach others. Sometimes I teach them how to achieve the specific goal they're asking about, like solving a math problem, other times I try to teach them how I arrived at that conclusion. Both things make me feel like it's not just me being smarter than another person, but instead that I was lucky and figured out problem solving before they did.

The other thing that helped a lot was finding other kinds of 'smartness' that I wasn't very good at. For me right now, those are things like being able to write music and what people call 'game sense' in VALORANT. Both of those take different types of intelligence that I don't naturally have, and the second one has taken me a lot of work to begin to have. Learning those new kinds of intelligence feels way more meaningful to me than school ever did.
Post number #687358, ID: 1edce4

>>687349>>687351 I do use it to help people a lot. Usually not with, like, math and shit, but more along the lines of teaching them logical ways to deal with emotional shit. How to better handle difficult situations. How to notice when someone is being matipulative to them. How to use logical thinking to ease the pain or get out of a depressive episode etc. It definitely works, and it's very rewarding. So, yeah. I do stuff like that.
Post number #687359, ID: 1edce4

>>687351 It's funny you mention music. I actually write a fair bit of music in my spare time, but for me that kind of came natural as well and it's sort of like a coping mechanism for me. It's a form of venting that is a little more vague and creative and can both sound good and be entertaining and also spread a message and have different meaning for different people. I love it, but it's not super challenging.
I really love shit like that as well, mentality around games and stuff.

Game design, the psychology behind what drives players, the way you can make people play in different ways, how people play and use that different type of intelligence in video games. It's hard for me to be passionate about things in general, but the things you mentioned are things I have a passion for as well and does sort of help, but, well, I'm still where I am, you know?
I feel a lot better about it today after talking with a close friend about it though, so, I'll manage.

It makes me happy to give advice and help out people I care about, because, well, it's nice to see the people I care about improve and me in a good headspace.

Me advice for smart pepol, Juz cause u can and know dosen men u should say or do something

>>687910 lost of motivation is really bad.. i experience something similar.. But surprising me that your problem number 1 is "feel smart". You aren't the first person to feel this way. Many people do. Thing is though you have to have perspective.
There are many many people more intelligent than yourself. Instead of crying about being too smart open your eyes to reality. You're really not that clever in the grand scheme of things.
Maths too easy for you? Go up a level and see if you can solve harder problems. Don't stay in your comfort zone thinking your some sort of genius because you're not. No-one is.

>>688016 I knew this would happen when I made the thread. Y'all are assuming I think I'm a fucking mastermind when that's not the case at all. There are tons of people smarter than. I'm not retarded and I'm not in a bubble.
If you actually read what I said then you'd most likely understand that I don't think that at all, but I guess reading more than just a title is difficult for people these days.
