For example when I tell my friend "someone is gonna die huehue." when she is halfway thru a game but no death actually happens. How much of a dick move is that? Can we even call it a spoiler?

Not as much of a dick move as throwing out an actual spoiler, but still somewhat of a dumb move. Although, throwing your friend off-base if they're expecting a death or something by telling them "nah, don't worry" might make 'em defenseless and therefore instigate a more 'harder' emotional reaction if someone DOES kick the bucket or whatnot.
If that uh, makes any sense.

It still warps their perception of it, so it's still super rude.

Did this with a friend, kind of.
Her : wow this character is neat Me : well enjoy it while it lasts Her : wha-- anon, does character die? Me : dont worry about it
And she played through really anxious, or maybe anticipating character's death. When she finished and nothing happened, i got an earful, but after that we just laughed it off.

I have mastered the art of the pokerface when rewatching with first-time watchers. Also the art of saying the words "you'll see soon enough" in the most neutral way possible.
Truly a useless mastery. What has my life become ?
