What was your breaking point at your last job?

| Did you quit or get fired?
If so, why?

| I "quit" but really it was transferring positions to something that didn't require calling patients.

The breaking point, in addition to the opportunity for a new job being available, was calling a particularly nasty patient... who was also an employee. At some point in his anal ranting over a non issue, he accused me of being a shitty worker who should get fired.

I ended up reporting his ass but after six years, I was done with that position, and gtfo.

| >"We lost our biggest clients since the governor's social distancing order has banned our industry. Almost everyone must be let go. You're all invited to return after this ends in June."
>July
>"We only sell performance fabric masks now. We're not rehiring since the city would hit us with extra taxes while we struggle to make rent."

New job pays better, but I kinda miss those guys.

| I got institutionalised, and when I came back I dropped out of school and just didn't show up at the job anymore. So, uh, I guess getting institutionalised was my breaking point?

| I had an unpaid internship in a government office. I was feeling pretty shit one day, my chronic migraine was acting up and my finger was twitching uncontrollably. I'm not always that bad and usually I'll get better in a couple of hours or the next day.

But suddenly the boss wanted to talk to us just to "check up". I didn't say much in the meeting, but afterwards his underling called me in to say I was fired. For being "rude".

| It was an unpaid position anyway, so it's not too bad, but it still really upsets me. I have some pretty bad problems, but most of it is internal and I tried to be on my best behaviour. The reason they used was just so vague and unhelpful, and no matter how I press I can't get anything that makes more sense.

| Crappy management who upholds bureaucracy before the well-being and future of its students.. oh wait, that was college, not a job.. sigh

| Didn't last long. It was a tutoring place, my boss was terrrible to employees and children alike. Before starting he never provided promised training, and forgot things I mentioned in my interview claiming I never said (like that I was a student myself and would not be avaliable one day). Final straw was him humiliating a kid for not understanding a homework problem, screamed at him for, "Not paying enough attention," instead of helping him through it. I quit on my 6th day.

| >>680337 No one knew their ass from their elbow in that job, we were all college students that were not given proper instructions. Kids weren't taught but were told answers to complete given workbooks (by the tutoring place) instead of being taught. I got bitched out for attempting to answer a question a kid asked since I was, "Not being fast enough," and was expected to work with 4 kids at a time apparently. There's a lot of grievances despite working there for such a short time.

| Basically got burnt out by the constant change of pace and the "agile" environment. Clients were getting incomprehensible with their reqs and specs, we weren't meeting enough demands because some of core members left and replacements can't be hired because >>>management and>>>HR.

Then our dept. was getting liquidated in favour of outsourcing anyway because "we were not reaching performance expectations" so /shrug that's one way to quit.

| Hired as an embedded systems engineer.
For 3 years now.
Colleagues leaving, so I'll get more work.
Ask for a VERY MODEST raise.
Refused because it would disrupt the wages' uniformity in the department.
Read : the others are underpaid.
Read : there is no skill or pay progression because everyone will be underpaid at some point and internal experience holds no value here.
Read : we don't actually want to give you motivation to work.
Read : we're toying with you.

| They expected me to spend my my free time with them. I declined that because after a work day I am simply tired and want to go home to relax. And my weekends? Well they are mine for fucks sake.
At the end they showed me the door because; No interest regarding the colleagues and the team, not social, no identification with the company, stuff like that.
Even better is the fact that this is slowly happening again but now I think about changing the area of expertise, so done with it...

| Worked for a grocery store, for a couple months. Whenever someone needed an item taken off after its been scanned, for whatever reason, you needed a manager to approve it. So had to call the manager up. Lady didnt have enough money, so I called up manager, who rolled their eyes at me, did the transaction then pulled me to the side saying "you gotta stop doing this." Its like ??? Am i magically supposed to know how much money these people have? Not to mention poor scheduling
