Drawing tablet upgrade dilemma

| I've been using a Wacom Intuos Sketch my whole life, and I'm thinking of when I upgrade. My art hasn't really gotten to the point where I'm comfortable with investing more in equipment. Should I build towards higher and higher tablets slowly while my art improves, or should I just hold off until I get good enough, and then invest in one of the LCD tablets on the market?

| I am no artist - but spending considerable sums on newer, shinier tool while having a perfectly good one seems like a bad practice if they are roughly in the same league. I'd hold off.

| The later, keep with what you have until you're confident in your skills.

A new tablet won't magically improve your skills, people can create amazing art with what you have, so just keep at it with what you have I say.

| Upgrading your tablet won't make you better at art, but it will make you an owner of a kickass slick new tablet :))))))))))))

| Yeah, if you're still comfortable with what you have I don't see why you should buy a new one. It's not like buying ink where different qualities will produce noticeably different art.

Unless you're actually dissatisfied with your current tablet, in which case it's probably better to get a new one that solves the troubles you have.

| >>670792 You have a better tablet rn than i do, i believe (i use a veikk a50)

I've been in that point where I thought the same, as well.

I gave the screentablets a shot (2 week trial, my friend lent it to me) and as the g/u/rls before me said, it didn't do shit to help me improve. It was a learning curve over a learning curve, if you get me idk how to explain

Just improve on your skills first fam, the tools aint what make the artist

| it's your right to choose what equipment you want to work with.
beyond any artistic or skill level.

if there is another tablet you like drawing with more than with your current, you should try it and consider switching.
personal preference I guess ?

if it's beyond your current budget, then it's very unfortunate :/ but it's a good idea to hold back for now

| Aight thanks g/u/rls! I'll hold off until I'm confident enough in my skills to actually need a better tablet haha
