My cord to my headset stopped function properly. Like, tons of static and only sounds in one ear and shit, and I might get a fucking panic attack from it. I get very easily overwhelmed with stimuli, like sounds and shit, so not being able to block out shit like that whenever I need it drives me crazy, and I can often get very in my head and depressed when I'm forced to be alone with my thoughts. I don't know what to do. The thought of living everyday life without that is fucked.

Sorry for making this thread. I've just been really stressed out and this was my main way of coping with my hypersensitivity and calming down.

The only other way I deal with stress is nicotine, and cancer does not seem fun, so I don't want to smoke a pack a day just to cope with existence. It would also make me feel like shit, so, yeah, fuck that.

I guess tldr: My headset is broken and now I'm sad because music and podcasts is one of the few things that help me stay sane.

>>655884 I could if I had money, but it takes months for things to be delivered here right now because of COVID, and shipping has become insanely expensive because of Brexit. The only alternative I have would be my earbuds, but they're the $0.5 type earbuds that have no sounds quality, no isolation and fall out constantly. Sound isolation is part of what makes having a headset so important for me, so, yeah. I'm sorry to hear you're in a similar situation.

I'm gonna try to borrow a headset from a family member or something. I'm not sure if I can though. Everyone only has one headset, and the only person with a good one is my dad, who almost never lets others use his stuff, even if he doesn't use it himself. I actually think he might have multiple headsets, or at least a headset and some high quality earbuds, but, yeah. I guess I'll just hope for the best.
