And choose what's better for you? Like how do you gurls do it? How do you just go like "i'm stopping this now because it's not healthy for me", and actually do it type of ordeal? What the fuck?? Where do you get the strength to put your needs first above other people??

I'm seriously struggling with this because i do my best to understand the reason on what or why ppl would do smth (that hurts me personally or they being a dick, etc.) And ppl have always found it odd about me that i do this?? i think it's giving off the impression that i'm a fucking masochist od i like being stepped on by others (which iSN'T TRUE!! I get really hurt too!!) Seriously. How??

I did not understand the second post but to answer first question I do it by making kind of a plan for my life with an endgame goal (what my 80 years old self would look like) and execute it slowly, like if I want a bigass mansion to that age I want to make a lot of money, to do that I need to do a couple of things, one of them being to stop wasting money, which means to quit smoking, drinking and shit. So I do that. Its like speedrunning a game basically.

Making a long term decision is about making lots of short term decisions to get you there. To make a short term decision, you need to notice when you're doing something by habit, and the practiced self control to not do your habit. (In my experience, at least)

If I understands op right, you keep wanting to do what you think is good for other people but then you always end you hurting yourself? And you don't understand why you're the only one who do this?
I'm... sure there's a middle ground where no one gets hurt?? Like, going out of your way to hurt someone else is shitty, but otherwise, the person who most understand what's good for you is yourself. You gotta look out for yourself, because no one else can do it as well as you do

It's easy. I only make the same choice every time. Doing nothing.

Most people either dont care or dont think how their actions affect others, for them its all fine as long as it doesnt bring bad stuff at the moment, with emphasis on at the moment since proly 60% of those people don think of long term risks or think they can either run away or fix it later

>>653467 It depends. Being spontaneous can have it's benefits, but if you don't think at all that's just dumb.
