I was trying to proccess a purchase with an almost empty card to see if a certain eastern website would accept my western card. Payment proccessed as if I had the full sum and I was only ever billed 1/100 of it. Even when I added full sum, no more was taken. I wonder if there's a carch, cause I kinda wanna do it again with a much bigger sum. It ain't a fraud, if it's not really my falut it doesn't see I have no money, right? And anyway what's the worst thing dat could happen, huh?

They can charge you afterwards in various legal ways

How, when? What if I don't pay? I don't think international law can subject me to any kind of punishment. I guess there are ways, but it's been more than a week already and nothing changed. Not even an e-mail.

They can definitely charge you when the card isn't empty anymore. If you want to cheat them you have to replace it and never use it again.
Also they can send you a bill and have collectors collect it. There is undeniable proof that you did the purchase. However this may be unlikely if it's a small foreign company.
If you're aware that your card is empty then it is by definition fraud. Do the crime if you want but don't be stupid about it and don't complain if you get caught.

You can get charged afterwards, hotels do this all the time. I've paid at big electronics shops, and sometimes the transaction would get cancelled a few weeks later and I'd be charged again a day or two after because the sum they charged me was not the right one in the first place. So well, it's completely legal, and you have to file complaint if this happens erroneously. Too bad you'll be the guilty one :/

>>646822 I don't use it much as it is. Not my main one. I did put the sum I used afterwards, but it was not withdrawn. The store believes I payed the full sum I think. It can't convert currencies properly when there's not enough money or something I guess. I mean it's a fully automated procedure, will someone actually review it afterwards? I don't think they ever had this happen before. I can't imagine collectors coming to my far away country just for that. Seems a perfect crime.

It has been 9 days. If someone did review the transaction history they'd at least do it once a week I'd imagine.

>>646877 Don't count on it. I once bought an SSD from my own country and it took them more than a month to notice the post office forgot to charge for it. They eventually sent me a bill.

I bought a digital product. No post offices. There is a possibility, but still seems like a worthwhile bet.

You should just wait and see. If it doesn't charge from your card once you have money in the next few weeks, congratulations! You have stolen something without having responsibility for it. If you get charged for it, well, you paid for the product you were buying, just as intended.
