Thoughts on soul searching?

| I've been thinking about leaving everything behind and start something new in a really far place. I don't really have a plan. I just want to go. Leave my job and everyone i know. I want to be alone and have that opportunity to just "be". But idk if it's a good idea.

Thoughts? Is this more helpful or destructive? Have you ever went away to find yourself? Was it a success or was it a failure? I wanna know.

| Never thought of it but honestly sounds pretty pointless. Just the idea of soul searching sounds ridiculous.
Like, how can going on a Europe bicycle trip or some shit meant to help you find purpose in life?
Idk man, I just don't get it.

| >>c26bab like idk i dont really feel like there's q point in where i am honestly. I was thinking that maybe id understand myself more if im in a new environment

| >>631942 perhaps? I just fail to see how it'll impact your view of the world if it's just a little scenery change.
Now, becoming a monk or something, yeah, that'll definitely shake you up.

Dunno about you, g/u/rl, but I usually feel like a different, better people after each vacation. Yes, the change of scenery and routine and not worrying about your usual daily life do help.

And to op, if you can afford it, sure, why not. Go hiking or cycle around Europe or chill out in a secluded island. Don't drop everything, tho, just schedule a week or two of time off.

| I tried it, didn't work. Years of time and thousands wasted.

| >>7b13be what worked out for you?

| You cant find sonething that doesnt exist, no matter how hard you try or where you go

| Seeing different parts of the world is never a bad idea, depending on those parts. Go for it.
