Are most of the discord moderators shit...

| Or am I an shitty person?
On 3 of the public (2K+) servers I joined, two of them had admins that were anally annoying.

Let's say I started to post a 10 years old rickroll video pretending to be a video of Peter Griffin saying the n word, it just got quietly removed and when I asked for the reason they just deleted it too.

after bugging them about it, one of them just said "iF iT lOokS BaD I dElEtE"

| The rules are too vague too, we could say the N word but a rickroll video is too offensive for them.

On another similar server, I posted a video of a fish smoking cigarette and one of them lost their shit and pinged me.
"@gurl what the fuck is wrong with you"
"What did I do?" i ask
"You posted animal abuse"

I didn't think that was animal abuse, someone argued that it wasn't that bad either.
"I will boot two of you off"

AITA?

| lmfao uh, wow. The rickroll I can see someone going "haha unfunny" but I know of the smoking chicken fish, and "animal abuse" is... eugh.

Yeah they're just overly sensitive imo.

| YTA, smoking is not cool.

| is dangeru for dangerous opinions tho

| >>624289 hello mod

Depends on the opinion. It's a common mistake for people to think that Dangerous Opinions means "free speech(tm) zone," when it really just refers to the game the website's based on.

really

| These servers aren't for you, go find another server that doesn't have moderators who has a boner for power.

Alternatively, post this image in the meme channel

lmao updated for 2020.

| >>624336

Yes really. That and the last time we tried a super hands off approach (not really- the only maid left just ragequit for unrelated reasons and no one was watching the board) the website got so bad, not even Pref wanted to visit it anymore.

It took months of work to get the community to where it is now.

| Op is in shit servers

| I'm part of a dying game community from 2007 and we got a bunch of unofficial discord servers and the moderators are all the same person in each server plus they are really anally strict both in discord and in game that only has 70 players still playing. I love the small userbase but still, a few of the mods act like Yandere Simulator's moderators deleting whatever they don't like (including Fortnite) and I had even tried complaining it to the owner, no luck

>>624366 Gonna do this

| >>624554 Removed within 30 seconds after posting. :(

| >>624681

what game are the servers for? a mmo?

| I think op is shiet.

| "tHIs isN't ThE RIgHt cHanNEl For ThIS dIsCusSIoN!!111" furrack that's annoying. Like... If the conversation starts in a channel, and the natural flow takes you to a different topic, don't interrupt just to kick them to a different channel. The conversation will die almost every time. Personally, I see the channels as "if you want to *start* a conversation about X, this is where you do it. If the conversation naturally develops into something else, so be it."

| Mods who think their job is to oversee every single furracking conversation in the server because God forbid if people are having fun together in the WRONG CHANNEL! THE HORROR!!! Sorry g/u/rls. I just can't furracking stand it. That soykaf is annoying as furrack.

| >>624922 >>624923

I mean, you're not wrong. At some point we started loosening up on doing that (or stopped entirely) because it just caused more problems than it was worth- especially since some mods are nicer than others about it. The only time it comes up anymore is if there's like two or three people dominating general and anyone who tries to talk about something else gets ignored. But its generally not a problem to ask them to move if you're nice about it.

| >>624952 I haven't had this problem in the Danger/u/ Discord, but others can be way too damn strict. And they wonder why no one chats there.

| Am >>17cd7f btw.

Huh, that's good to hear then. I just kinda assumed you were referring to us lol.
