Definitely lower getting out of high school and moving definitely hurts your friend pool especially if you did not have a large amount in the first place and also hurts just in general being alone even when your surrounded by people your working with when your estranged from them because they are all older.

I still communicate with friends from high school. No one in uni I've befriended yet, don't really care either way.

If you count the people i'm on good terms with but don't interact/hang out with on a regular basis, it's higher, but for the most part almost all of my formerly close friends moved out of state or out of country.
So my social network and friend groups have moved online- centered mostly around danger/u/, its associated discord(s), and some friends on Steam. That's the price of deciding to quit Facebook.

That number likely took a hard dive as a result of quitting Facebook, having introversion/anxiety in conversations.
I can talk, of course, it's more like a flower, eventually, it opens up.

If you only count the closest ones, about 4-6. If you count everyone I talk with regularly enough and we consider each other friends, around 13-15, probably more. If you count acquaintances that you are friendly with and enjoy being with, it's a lot. Like, probably around 30. I'm extremely lucky.

Currently four close friends, the kind of friends which we are okay with sharing everything with each other.
