Hi. After three weeks of essentially no progress at all with my therapy, we've finally gotten a little further! I found out I've got a decent amount of matching symptoms with both depression and psychosis, but not enough yet to diagnose me with anything. The topic we'll be starting with next session is anxiety, which I used to have a lot of and it's still lingering, and then a few more topics that will go quickly since they don't match, and then I might get a real diagnosis!

I have been feeling like really bad a lot, but recently I've also started feeling a lot better. I'm still far from being fixed, but being genuinely happy for at least a little while, multiple times a week feels really refreshing. I'm starting to get a bit of myself back. So there has finally been some improvement! I'm also trying to quit caffeine, since I drank a very unhealthy amount of energy drinks, and I'm begging to get over the withdrawals! All in all I've gotten better!

Good to hear things are going alright g/u/rl! And ya, dropping pop and energy drinks and all those mega caffeine-y and mega sugar-y drinks is probably going to be way good for you. Hope things work out! Keep us updated when you've got news!

>>603925 Yeah, dropping energy drinks will hopefully even out my energy level, which I really need. Thank you! I will.

Set yourself a better sleep schedule to help yourself quit caffeine.

>>604023 I really should. My sleep is fucked. 4-5 hours a day is not enough.

Don't let them convince you that you're anything you're not for the purpose of a diagnosis and prescription
Don't take your diagnosis and use it as an excuse for your actions, or make it a defining part of your personality.
Sometimes your irrational thoughts may be the result of illness, but other times there may be validity to them
Remember, your doctor is trying to help, but they are not you and only know what you tell them. They can only maked educated assumptions off of that

>>604066 I'd know it if they were trying that, and I wouldn't accept it.
I'm not a cunt.
I'm usually able to differentiate them.
I am fully aware of that, and they are really open about it too. They are honest about not being able to ever fully understand what I have, the psychologist has even been open about the fact that there might not be a diagnosis for what I have, and I provide information as best as I can.
