How to make myself feel like I don't suck?

| And I mean "suck" in the worst meaning possible. I've been, like, stuck in a rut a bit recently. Trying to do new things, but obviously with those things being completely new to me I'm not good at them. And even after a while I don't see much progress and it's a bit disheartening. What can I do to bring myself up a bit? What would YOU do in this kind of a situation? Please send help.

| As a bit of a late follow-up to the "don't see progress" thing, it almost feels like I've forgotten how to learn new things. As in, I read up on some theory, then practice for a bit, and I still feel like I haven't learned much, if anything at all. I don't think I have any learning disabilities since I learn new stuff at work a lot, but there I'm forced to learn if I want to keep my paycheck, and with this I guess I don't feel any pressure that would make me learn.

| Motivation is hard to find. I have the same problems myself. While I try not to let it get me down, it really does suck to suck. Practice is the only way to improve though. Even though it's really disheartening to not see any noticeable progress, you are slowly but surely getting better. I also recommend trying to be objective. Try to compare your current skills to how good you were a couple days or a week ago. Then a month. You will see that there has been progress.

| Just stop sucking, and try swallowing instead.

| Have sex and have fun.

| Practice cooking? The progress is both obvious and delicious. Just set the rule that, even if you fuck up, you have to eat it.

Start by mastering the Burg.
Move on to pasta.
Slide into burritos
Then swing at asain foods.

Take your time with it.
