I'm sorry Firefox users, If there's a way to make web apps for firefox let me know.
Anyways, if you've got a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Brave, Iridium, Ungoogled-Chrome, etc.) well I've got some good news for you. I've made a web app by simply messing with manifest.json and adding some icons on it. https://s.put.re/wFEWMPMd.png *DOWNLOAD* http://www.mediafire.com/file/h4uvld6kmpk5gn3/Dangeru.zip/file
I'll post info on how to install it on the post below.

1. Go to Chrome://Extensions 2. Enable Developer Mode 3. Extract the zip that I've provided 4. For paranoia's sake, you can check the files inside, they are easy to read even if you don't understand programming 5. Press "Load unpacked" 6. Select "Dangeru" folder 7. Great, but you aren't done yet 8. Go to Chrome://Apps 9. You will notice that "Dangerous Opinions" is there, right click on it 10. (optional, but makes the experience better) Go to App info and switch "open in a tab" to

"Open as window" now it will open as a separate window 11. Close the window and right click the app again 12. Click "Create Shortcuts" 13. You're done, now Danger/u/ is on your desktop.
>Why Dangerous Opinions instead of Danger/u/? Because Windows doesn't like these characters for some reason >Advantages by using a chrome app? You won't have to type dangeru.us on the browser anymore >Why do we have to do all this? It's not officially supported by the Prefetcher or Lain (yet?)

How is this any different from, like, using a bookmark on your browser?
Post number #597147, ID: 2dd262

>>597071 It uses a separate window from your browser and can be created as a desktop shortcut

>>597147 >what is kiosk mode >what is opening a new browser window >implying you can't create a shortcut pointing to url Literally useless. Delete this immediately and think about what you did.

>what is opening a new browser window of course that's an option, but this is just slightly different
>implying you can't create a shortcut pointing to url Yes but can you: >have it immersive as shown on the screenshot >have the favicon as the icon that's the point of this web app
>Literally useless, Delete this no

>>597221 OP spent his time making something for us. You've been hateful and rude. However useful OP's app is, it's a lot more valuable than your contribution.

I for one am afraid that OP may have evil intentions and that the extension is malware Gimme the source code and then maybe I can trust you, OP

>>597345 >direct criticism combo'd with a dose of cynicism for the sake of throwing a point home is invaluable it's either that or a "whoa great job anon! very neat :D" what makes for a better learning experience? >>597346 based dose of paranoia
