Depression dilemma

| I've come to think I am unable to go on like this. Submitting myself to mental asylum or commiting suicide,- what's the better choice?

| Submit yourelf to a mental asylum would be the better choice. They'll give you medications and you feel way better afterwards because of it. Stop wasting your time and go, you'll get better.

| Mental asylum, you'll feel better afterwards for sure.

| Mental asylum means you still have hope for change and the future. Suiciding won't give you anything but despair to anyone around you and there is no proof there is something else afterlife. Stick to life for a bit please, it has many things to offer and will have a plently lot more.
If you finally choose mental asylum, please tell everything you can. Not only you can help yourself but you can give feedback to help other people who may be feeling worse.

| Mental asylum
You'll be able to change for the better and help others going through the same thing later on down the line

| Suicide means risking failure and worsening things (yes, they can worsen) and ending up in an asylum. So go there willingly, you'll save yourself a fair amount of trouble.

| if you kill yourself your consciousness doesn't end, you just lose your material vehicle and thus can't experience the material world anymore

| Mental asylums where I live don't help people - they provide you with pills making your thoughts hazy and disallow your leave. I consider it not to get better (no one would employ an ex-looney anyway), but to obtain an environment free from stress and insolent idiots. I won't be able to do things I like, but, on the other hand, I will never be laughed at or looked down upon. Never feel myself an inferior being.
Death could bring rebirth, albeit, extremely unlikely.

You should at lest try. If things get even worse, you will always have another option. No need to horry.

| >>596641
don't horry guys

| >>596639 Yeah asylums looks scary and corrupted coming from tv series and movies, Idk the truth behind fiction really. But you at least are scared of something, that's a beginning move. Maybe there are alternatives, advice social groups or however they are called.

Or you can commit a crime and stay on prison (idk if you can voluntary stay at one)I don't recommend this, I sense you have a big will to change. Works can help.

| Mobile Hospital, Assault Hospice

| >>596665 People get raped in prisons and there's work to do. Asylum's better. It's not impossible to leave, but one would require legally qualified outside help. I was thinking of it as a more permanent residence anyways.

| do you feel unable to try other options like therapy and medication to make changes that will lead to being ok with life?

| Why not just help us storm Area 51? It's almost the 20th. It is the best choice among mental asylum or suicide.

| I'd say try the mental hospital.

As another user pointed out, there's always a chance you can fail in suicide and make things worse for yourself. I speak from experience. It's been 3 years since I've attempted, and my family and friends no longer trust me. I don't have the luxury of even being able to miss a phone call or they go ballistic.

Make things easier for yourself and loved ones and seek professional help. I've heard some of the mental hospitals have bitchin food too.

| >>596695 I was at a psychotherapist's and didn't like it at all. I have to say uncomfortable stuff and they just listen and are being unhelpful for a hefty price. I'd rather be mentally troubled, than have no money.
>>596715 More lethal ways should succeed. Shotgun blast to the head or, more availible method - getting hit by a train (bout 96% lethality). Cutting wrists has the lowest I think.

| >>596764 (to second)
That shot may keep your brain alive, the same about the train, you may stay in coma for years and probably you'll have a lot of mental and physical issues when you wake up.

you're doing it wrong.

| What you need is some romance OP!

| >>596764
i see, so there is an issue with financing. i dont have experience navigating the mental health meme. not everyone finds a practitioner they work well with on their first try, you know. but if its hard to pay for the sessions i understand that makes it challenging to pursue.

having no money is better than being dead, though.... but people tell me being in a jail cell or a straiggt jacket is better than me being dead (except the people who want me dead ofc)

| You never died to know if poverty is better than death, can't compare, right?
