What does that have to do with anything? A change in iq depends either on the stage of life youre in, or small decisions regarding diet, exercise or media enjoyed for example.
The former should be irrelevant given that we are talking here about the people of the most intelligent age group, not of those whose brains age has deteriorated, nor of those whose brains age has yet to fully form.

i never said i was good at chess, i never said it was a way to judge their ability.
i can however be assertive that i've met people who could destroy me at chess (or other games) if they spent just a few more seconds thinking, but never did that because the game would have been most uninteresting.
interesting games can not all be the most perfect, be it chess or something else.
