Drugs can often be more positive than negative

| A decent amount of drugs do more good than bad, at least when treated with respect. Sure, crack cocaine and heroin will just fuck you straight, but there are a fair bit of drugs that can be good for you mentally.

| Like what? Examples....

| like paracetomol eh

| Caffeine is my favorite drug

| >>587336
I'm positive cannabis with >>>normal levels of thc is totally fine, and sometimes even legal (of course don't smoke it because it's obviously doing more harm than good).
I'm not saying it's not a drug, it is. Just that if you need one good night's sleep in a while, it's harmless...

| >>587378
Is it fine, or don't do it bc it's harmful. Make up your mind.

| Yeah. Cannabis is a good example. There's also some psychedelics, like LSD, that can have really positive effects on people if consumed in a good environment with trip sitters to look after you.

Minor things like caffeine and nicotine can help keep people more concentrated and the latter can make them happy too. Not saying it's necessarily worth the health risks, but every drug is a double edged sword, and some of them can aid you if wielded correctly.

| >>587384 smoking anything if bad but thc doesn't have that many negative effects

| Recreational use of drugs can be dangerous, medicinal use of drugs is fine.

| >>587440
I'm not saying drugs aren't dangerous. They 100% are. It's just that the positive effects can outweigh the negatives depending on your situation and how you handle them.

Thanks

| Your love is a drugs

| Being in love is like being on drugs
Without the potential brain damage
Kisses are crack rocks you don't have to smoke
With no life ruining baggage, no life ruining baggage
And when we touch (when they touch)
Oh, when we touch (ah-ah-aah)
I can feel it get me high
I can feel that dopamine rush
And when we kiss (when they kiss)
Oh, when we kiss (ah-ah-aah)
It satisfies my addiction
Without making me pass out in a pool of my piss

| Drug and sex are lies they arent real pleasure and if you rely on them to perform basic human function you're mentally weak haha gotem

| >>587703
Well, yeah. I am mentally weak. That's exactly why I see them as positive. It's an escape from a fucked up mind that's really hard to escape without any outside help. Higher cancer risk or the potential of living in hell for a couple hours seems more than worth it to me because I'm weak.

| Even if it is true, drugs are expensive. It's not worth the money you earn wage cucking for half a day just for several mins of pleasure.

At least if you want to indulge in video games/anime/movies there is piracy that makes it possible to enjoy a lot of them without paying. At least if porn that you are addicted to, there's fleshlight/dildos that lasts for quite a while.

| Im pretty sure they use some hard stuff to treat schizophrenia and some other mental disorders.

So yes some drugs that are seen as bad in recreational use can be hugely positive.

| >>587811 Media addiction can only get you so far. Being depressed, I at times just sit in front of my computer for hours doing literally nothing because there isn't anything I want to do.
Also, while I am a staunch denier of the nofap movement, masturbation is still scientifically proven to fuck up your dopamine receptors, leading to more depression. Occupying yourself with something productive or physically straining like sport is a better alternative.

Or, you know, drugs. They don't require you to be focused and actively do something and they make you feel nice. Of course at the cost of money and health risks, but life is a zero sum game.

| >>587881 this comment hits a little too close to home

| >>587336
Reminder that Caffeine will do as much harm as smoking a pack of cigarettes everyday Desu! ♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡

| >>587899
No. No, it won't. It's not harmless, but that's a false statement.

| >>587883 That too, which is why I keep a pack nearby for the occasional days it gets really serious. Some people tells me that getting into nicotine will only make my mental health deteriorate further, but so far my quality of life has improved immensely. At least, I don't go into fits of rage anymore. There's also stuff like stress or anxiety pills, which I assume are safer, but aren't as effective for me. Maybe a different brand works better though.

Oh, come on, mrs baiteress.
Caffeine is probably as ADDICTIVE as -if not more than- nicotine.
If you get smoke inside your lungs, it is very harmful.
Caffeine abuse can kill you. That's a fact. Stick with a number of coffee cups (around 8cL) that's under 3 a day, you shouldn't hurt your heart too much.
However, you don't smoke caffeine.
No damage to lungs.
So yea, caffeine is dangerous.
But your lungs stay fine.

| When it comes to caffeine abuse, I believe more people die from energy drinks, which have the added bonus of possibly giving diabeetus, rather than from coffee. A lot of people also don't hydrate themselves properly after consuming caffeine, even though apparently it causes you to lose water, so that might also be a thing to think about.

| Just sugar addiction in general, which is another thing. Have friends who pound redbulls all the time and i mythed.

| >>587904
Yeah. I heard it was bad too, but got some for my mental problems and it's working wonders.

>>587928
This is wrong as well. As someone who's experienced both addictions I can assure you caffeine isn't nearly as addictive as nicotine. I've gotten addicted to and quit energy drinks twice. Nicotine I started getting cravings for a day or two after I started. With caffeine it takes me a week or two to get to the point where quitting is getting kinda hard.

| >>587951
That's not sugar addiction. That's caffeine addiction. While I'm sure having something similar to a addiction to sugar is possible, the caffeine is what keeps you hooked on energy drinks like Redbull.

| >>587881 I guess it differs from each people, but the best way to stay away from depression is to distract myself with media. Just watched a cool movie? Great, now there are interesting tidbits like behind the scenes and analysis videos about it that I can watch. Just played an awesome game? Discover the sequel and spin off to keep myself busy. I guess I am lucky to only be depressed when I socially interact with people/ think about social interaction with people.

| >>587883 well, not being focused and not actively doing someting is a great magnet for depression. Yes, it is great when you are drugged up, but once it becomes a habit to not be focused/active and your get sobber up, it will be harder to escape the depression.

| >>587974
Should only take you a day or two if your caffeine consumption was daily and steady, but who knows, yea, maybe it's not as addictive...

| >>587974
Oh my bad, you said "after I started", didn't read well enough
> <:)

| >>588080 I think the problem you have is more anxiety-related than it is with depression. Or maybe you simply outright have a phobia of social interation? While you definitely sound like a hikki, I don't feel you're the type to end up a neet.

~kaaba minot reads

| >>588080
Well, that's fair. For me personally that doesn't really work since my mind drags me to hell and back if I'm left alone with my thoughts for too long, and when I'm playing a video game or watching something I'll eventually loose focus and then my brain fucks me hard.

| >>588155 nah, no problem with interacting with people for the most part, but I'd strongly prefer not to interact with one.

I was both "hikki" (rarely leave the house but have no problem if I have to) and "neet" (didn't have a desk job or normal work hour), sadly I stopped being any of them now and barely have time to play any game.
