It was made to be the main international language and it's easy. At least they say it's not that hard to learn

Nice! Maybe we could have a "lingua franca of the year" thing as an incentive for people to learn new languages

True story: I know a bit of French and the first time I see a sentence in Esperanto I can already sorta understand it

I made this thread as a joke a shitpost if you will, but now I kind of want to learn some esperanto. I'm going to take a course on Duolingo. Hope that's enough since this language is quite easy

>>577640 see, we're already good for the next 4 years on the yearly lingua franca plan!

>>577641 Good. Never heard of lojban and latin is a dead language. That should be enough time.

>>577631 I second it.
I need to actually get committed to learning a language, though... the first thing I bookmarked on this computer was a video series for learning German, and two years or so later I still haven't watched it. I also have so many things bookmarked that it takes a good part of a minute to load the bookmarks list, but that's a different story...

I want to learn lojban but I'm also lazy and there's no easy way to access it like with duo lingo or anything

>>577844 They have a book full of resources regarding Lojban. The lack of easy access does make it hard tho.
