ex third world Amazon customer service rep AMA

| title

| Are birds real??

| Did you use to work in Amazon?

| How often did you get yelled at by customers on the average day? I feel bad for telemarketers and customer service people to be honest, because I figure you guys must get a lot of anger and abuse.

| >>577146 birds are not real they are actually prototype drones created by Amazon that were supposed to deliver packages.

| >>577149 yes.

>>577152 I got yelled at on a daily basis by many different people. People who called stating that their WiFi wasn't working and demanded that I help them fix it, people who didn't like me all of a sudden after having a pretty good conversation because I wasn't from the U.S, People getting upset when I tell them they should contact their local UPS when they are notified that they have their package at the post office for some local reason/issue.

| did you work for people in your country or worldwide?
were you employed by them, or subcontracted?
can you violate any NDAs for us?

| I feel you mate
Worked for Just Eat CC for an year.
You receive a call, get yelled at then, when you resolve their issue, they just hung up

| Which country are you from? Am curious.
Is it India?

| >>577177 We worked with people from all over the world basically the same as U.S reps as long as a person uses the Amazon.com site they would speak to any English speaking rep available regardless of where they are. Also we were subcontracted but Amazon did have their own people directly managing everything.

>>577191 got this question a lot at work. Everyone assumes that if I am not in the U.S I must be from India, Malaysia or the Philippines but not I'm from the Caribbean.

| >>577191 a lot of people don't know that Amazon has a lot of people from all over the world taking calls for them from most countries.
