I just never speak English orally. Maybe that'll work for you too.

Many times There was once a time when I was forced to participate in a play and I was super fucking shy on stage. So the play goes smoothly because I don't have many lines until I get to my only line being "oh noooo" but it came out more like "uh moooo". Needless to say I've never went onstage since

>>576332 get some alcohol (or karmotrine) and you won't think that much about your words and just talk. That works for me.

As a bilingual, yeeeep. Especially when talking to other bilinguals or people whose English aren't good. If their English is Engrish I just somehow drop to the same level.

English is not my first language so this is normal for me. Sometimes I didn't even know my eng.exe is broken. It might look stupid but I don't care just hope that they will understand

I once said "amateur movie" somewhere in my question and the whole class heard it as "a mature movie". They asked me to repeat it several times...

>>577315 they probably wanted to know what KIND of mature movies you like lol but yeah ppl can be asshole sometimes.
People don't think I'm a native to my own country just based on how I speak lol They always think I'm from England or Nigeria or the Caribbean.

Once my teacher asked me in front of the entire class, what language I was speaking when I was talking to a friend. She stopped classes and asked, "where are you from?" America. "No,where are your parents from then?" Jamaica. "And what language do they speak there?" English. She must still be cringing about that till this day lol. And no I don't know how to speak patois. But still get asked what country or language I speak almost everyday

>>577315 Now I'm self-conscious about my pronunciation of "amateur". Thanks, I hate it.

>>577319 lol I was asking if amateur movie was accepted as the subject. I am sure the wgole class thought "how dare this gurl ask this kind of question"
>>577344 well, I came home and immediately look for how to say amateur correctly. I'd probably make the same mistake again. The thought never crossed my mind that people could missheard it...
