Help me socialize please

| I know thats kinda ridiculous, but recently, i have been thinking about how much i don't know basic social rules or something like that, im always doing/talking some innapropriate shit for the moment or something like that, it's hard for me to make friends and keep my actual ones

What should i do to be a better person (or at least less pathetic?)

| Eye contact, think before you say things (and actually do it), try to be at least semi-relevant with your topics, compliment sometimes. Also fix your posture, look straight and all.

| ^this... Don't look gay op look straight.

| always try to ask the other person questions about themselves (related to the subject, of course). If you do it well you don't end up needing to answer any questions.

| Asides from what has already been said, start working out OP, it will improve not only your health, but also your confidence, which will make it easier not only for you to talk to others, but also make yourself more approachable
Also, it may be useful to try and meet new people, kind of "starting anew"
Figure out the things you enjoy and look for communities that share those interests, irl is preferred but online is fine too

| Rule 1 - don't give a damn fuck what others think of you
Rule 2 - don't think rule 1 is an excuse to be a total jerk
Rule 3 - treat others how you'd want to be treated
Rule 5 - violence is the last resort, try everything else at least 7 times over before trying violence
Rule 6 - never let anyone know what's rule 4

| Just explain things. I don't see how you could lose your current friends by behaving like you always did; if you do, then they weren't friends in the first place.
And then I'd say, stop being lazy and start working on it. Which isn't by trying to look normal unlike what others said. Observe people interacting together, try to understand what they do and why. You should also look at things like psychology, human thinking/logic, sociology, and such.
