Yoda is a sith
| My theory is that yoda is a random crazy alien they found on a random planet, gave him a lightsaber and called him a jedi master. The rest of his behaviour is random as he doesn't have the slightest clue about what he's doing

The empire leaves him alone even though he is said to be the greatest Jedi master ever
If you consider the Disney movies canon(I don't but I'm using it to further prove my theory) then he is the one who burns all the Jedi archives, or his ghost at least
Yoda was the true villain all along even in his ghost form!
