If the needs of society are fixed, as the technology develops, the labor force required will be reduced accordingly. But the needs of society are constantly increasing
we only need to make a six-inch cake, and now we need to make a 12-inch cake. Technology has developed, and the labor required by society will not decrease.

Honestly imo 40 hours isn't bad, but then I'm young, not disabled, no kids, but imo it's all the people working several shitty jobs that have it bad
