Why is discord so un-comfy?

| It's always the same shit on every server. 5 to 10 long time regulars talking only to each other in a 100+ user server while people outside the circle get ignored.

Is it a zoomer thing? Because I really can't get into it and I tried for years now. I just end up leaving every discord I join after a few days because it's boring as fuck.

| Why are you so obsessed with comfyness?

It's how I cope, g/u/rl.

| Maybe it's intrinsic to the invite only nature of discord. It makes it less open than a public forum.

| It probably doesn't help that Discord's staff are themselves kinda assholish.

| it can really vary from server to server. I find that they're nicest to be on when the activity is limited to around fifty messages per day.

| >>554875 everyone is on the quest for comf.

| Because Discord rewards those who do nothing but post on it and can multitask.
I've spoken with some of those 'inner circle' discord kids and they are having 5+ conversations at once with 5+ browser tabs open.
There is no incentive to talk to people like you would irl on Discord.
Most people are also just looking to lurk, which explains the high member count. You have to be a little bit extroverted to post constantly, or be highly opinionated and loud.
Stop joining kids servers.

| Tbh, I mostly just lurk on discord servers. I'm far too introverted to actually jump into conversations and talk to people for a long tine on there.

| As a zoomer, I am offended.

| >>555347 so am I
lol no, I'm a millennial you're alone babyface

| The fuck is a zoomer?

| >>555396 gen z kids

| Gen z is people born between 1995 and 2015, right?

Same. I wanna have friends/people I talk to regularly like the 3 people that actually use the chat but I'm too pussy
