I want to slice off all my limbs and replace them with prosthetics

This is all I think about every day. Whether I'm in a lecture, at work, standing in front of the stove, the only thing on my mind is amputating my disgusting human limbs and having mechanical fascimilies grafted on instead. Even when I'm chatting with a friend or studying or just walking around, I'll pat my throat or shoulders or thighs and think about how much happier I'd be if I couldn't feel them at all. I'm crying. I just want a body I can repair. I can't grow a new one.

There isn't even anything really wrong with them right now. I don't even really own them.

Sounds like Cyberpunk 2077 will be a good game for you.

Soon there will be prosthetic limbs from tha major technology brands for sale. Expect them to be backdoored, of course, all your movements will be monitored, recorded and sold to advertising companies.

>>542245 They're attached to me? I don't think this was ever a healthy line of thinking even before it became an obsession >>542246 Looks good, I'll pick it up when it's out. >>542257 I want to own them. If they're going to be real, I need to learn to make them myself. I want to be able to modify them myself, to repair them when they break down. I want to replace myself with a self that can operate on itself. If it's attached to me, I want to control it completely.

Just stay alive for the next 50+ years and you will have what you speak of. Technology is growing incredibly fast right now.

I feel ya. I have chronic pain and it's just... inescapable. I can't fix it, I can't get it off I can't get away from it.
I hope the future is better.

Ever since I played Deus Ex: HR, I wanted to replace my left arm with one that has elbow blades. Also I want an arm similar to MGSV that has a lighter and a taser and is also a rocket.

Apparently there's some autoimmune diseases in my genes, and schizophrenia. I'm young enough for it to not have an impact upon me, but I know I'll get there one day. I'm holding out, hoping for actual good artificial limbs and cyberbrains in my lifetime. Although I can't see the cyberbrain happening, limbs are taking some interesting steps forwards.

>>542263 so, you'll just be that one g/u/rl in techno movies who builds, tinkers and repairs prosthetics (like the fullmetal's bitch lucy or whateverthefuck she's called)

I want to add more limbs so I don't have to remove the ones I have and still get a rocket punch

I really like the idea of just being able to open my limb anywhere and mess with the stuff inside and also plugging cables into my head and shit

Being a net life form sounds good. And yet nothings beats being an anime character. That's where we should be heading. Can't wait!

Just reading this thread reminds of Betty from Va-11 Hall-A.

I hope limbs dont run out of battery. That would suck hard

>>543175 That would be terrible. Maybe they could be powered by the movement of the body. Eg moving your shoulders and body would charge your arm

>>543343 Kinetic to electric conversion is inefficient and bulky most of the times. You might want to wait until they figure out a way to turn food to usable electricity.
