[1] One time I was a cook at this uptown diner and the kitchen manager had only been cooking for a year and had no idea what he was doing but got the job because his mom was a server there for years. I would come in early and stay late everyday trying to fix and clean everything he neglected and was working 6 days a week 12-14 hours a day.

Me having just done an eightball of coke was not happy about this at all,

[3] everyone qould conplain at me about all the stuff he messed up as if it was my fault so I decided that night right as 10 tables got sat and ordered to tell the GM that i was going to smoke a ciggerett real fast and to just put the orders in and I'd start on them when i came back in. It took them 30 minutes to realize I didnt come back to the kitchen at at this time there was probably 55 food orders and the resturant was packed.

[1/6] >>453911 working off of this. It was my second day on the job. I was but a young lad, working their first job, as a fuel attendant. As I said. Second day. I hadn't even gotten through the first week. I'm sitting in the back, eating my lunch, and I go to reach for something. Now, there's something you must know about me. I am the clumsiest person you will *ever* meet. I hit my drink, it spills, iced tea everywhere.

[2/6] Including all over the laptop. The only laptop we had. The one we need, in order to complete literally all of our paperwork. Long story short, because I'm an absolute fool, we had to resort to stone age tactics, and had to find a bunch of sheets that haven't been used in years, due to everything going digital. For what must have been a month, we struggled. Finally the /tech/ guy comes in, we get a new laptop, and three weeks later, it's up and ready to use for paperwork.

[3/6] So I'm the reason we aren't allowed to eat at the desk anymore. They didn't fire me though, and I didn't have to pay for the laptop, haha! Another fun gas bar story is the time I cost us nearly $1000 in stock (lotto). So when you go to a gas station, the counter always has that glass display case on it. The one with all the scratch and won tickets? Have you ever thought how much money is in those display cases?

[4/6] If there are, say five rows of $5 scratch tickets, each row having 6 tickets in it, that's $150 right there. There are more than 5 rows, however, and those are only the $5. There's still $7, $10, $20, and $30 tickets to go too. Plus the $1, $2, $3, and $4 tickets. Depending on your display case, there can be thousands of dollars worth of scratch and win tickets in there. Now imagine some kid g/u/rl, still in the first month of this job, having already destroyed a computer.

[5/6] Went to clean the gas pumps. They go to the back room, and fill a bucket with water and soap. Throw a cloth in it, and bring it out front, passing it over the counter, to their co-worker on the other side. However, we must remember that this is the official How to be the Clumsiest G/u/rl tutorial. So instead, the bucket's going to hit the side of the counter, spilling all over the display case, which is far from waterproof. There goes about $200 worth of tickets.

[6/6] Panic! at the GasBar. Save the remaining tickets by taking them out and throwing them on a separate counter. The counter where you also set the bucket... Continuing the charade, we'll knock over the bucket again, on this other counter, soaking the remaining tickets. Congrats. You've just destroyed nearly $1000 worth of scratch tickets. Nice. And for some reason, they don't fire you, or charge you for it.

[7/6] Alright g/u/rls. I'm really sorry for the massive posts. I have many more gasbar stories, but I think I'll leave it at that for now. I can't believe I kept that job after all that. Due to those, and many other incidents, it's likely I cost them more than they got out of me. I think the moral of the story is to just not hire me. This has been the Clumsiest G/u/rl, signing off.
