Mental health issues. It's been weeks, I realized they moved on/don't care. They called me a couple horrible things before I left, and now I don't know what to do.
Sad because they were my online friend group of eightplus years.
I guess part of me feels liberated, but the louder part of me feels like I shouldn't have done that. That I should've fought harder to stay, or maybe shouldn't have said anything.

If you're unwilling or unable to go back to them, the only thing you can do now is to join or cultivate a new friend group and distract yourself in the meanwhile.
Everyone's situation is different. After New Genesis came out for PSO2 and subsequently killed /pso2g/, the friends I made there slowly drifted apart or moved onto gachas, I never had enough pull in the various groups to schedule or set anything up.

This went on for years as I tried to force the issue, and led to an extremely lonely and mentally destabilizing period in my life.
One thing led to another, in the end I just left and stopped interacting with them. Found a group of VR furries on /trash/ who similarly hate gachas and instead play actual vidya, haven't looked back and have never been happier.

Anyway, point being, you'll move on. You'll find another group of friends that appreciate you and enjoy your company. It just can be hard when people like us are into such niche things and circles, but there will always be people out there, just sometimes you need to swallow your pride to meet them.

>>1117258 I think they cared enough to get hurt and call you bad things
But yes, people will sometimes get fed up with you and try to leave forever. Happens to me, did it to people too, its part of life.
Maybe its time to find new places and meet new people, talking to people is a good way to make new friends

>>1117258 people change and grow with time, that's normal. Keep trying to make new friends, you'll find your clique.

I suppose I've always had a romanticized view of friendship, and that's probably why it left me so much more bitter and disappointed than it should have.
And I would try to make more friends online, but my social anxiety extends into the online space. Don't really see myself having friends for awhile
