I been reading a lot of science fiction lately (Two faces of tomorrow, Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect, Man after man...)
I have also been listening to SCP articles while cooking and cleaning the house...
I noticed that most of the SCP entries fail both as an SCP entry and a novel. I think the last 'good' entries I found were related to fifthism, or the bodies in the water... But most of the entries I can find seem to focus on the foundation itself, or some character's story--

Or the lore behind whatever entity or deity is related to the anomaly, rather than the anomaly itself. I guess I'm just old, but this tonal and focus shift just makes the whole thing read like an amateur proto-novella rather than some mysterious weird thing that the foundation is holding or investigating.
Idk I know people enjoy these entries, but they really dim in comparsion to an actual sci-fi novel...
Any good SCPs you g/u/rls recommend?

Scp foundation is scifi ao3, you maybe get 2-3 good entries, 10-20 "for enjoyers" and the rest is trash.

Last really good thing was the admonition series, specifically episodes 1-3. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/admonition

>>1107175 5000, flesh that hates, welcome to the antimemetics, the bodies in the water, what happened to site 19, fifthism, the portal-opener plastic knife, and some other scps are cool.
Pataphysics blabbery build atop 682 is just a bad joke. The "lizard wont die" meme stopped being funny like 10 years ago. Even the tale about 173 taking over the entire world has more merit.

The tales where reality anchors fail horribly are also cool.
