They discussed me in their team and because my anxiety is too vague and broad (without a clear cause), they put my on a waiting list for a psychiatrist who can prescribe me medication instead.
I'm not sure how to feel about this.

you're supposed to put in emotional work to help them understand what's wrong with you, not just spin around like a hot pocket in a microwave and be immediately understood i've known you for ten years and at no point were you capable of that

>>1073048>>1073037 this isn't your thread samefag-kun/schizoid-kun. go get your dopamine scraps elsewhere.
>>1073036 this is basically modern psychology. they cant figure out what to do because they stereotype too much, they dont look at the patients as people but rather walking diagnoses/textbook cases.

>>1073037 I'm sorry, who are you? Did we go to grade school together?? >>1073040>>1073049 I wish I could yap and have them understand me, but instead they want me to tell them exactly what my problem is so that they can give me therapy. But since I cannot point out the root cause of my anxiety, they're giving up.

:( did they at least have suggestions on things to try? I also kinda didn’t feel comfortable sharing with my first therapist and I found another with my demographic characteristics

>>1073103 They did, though the usefulness of those suggestions for my case are debatable. I honestly have so much more baggage (like traumas) to talk about, but the psychologists here don't seem to have time for that.

You sound young, just exercise some self awareness and learn to get tired of yourself.
But in a good way! Don't forget Vit D if you're a bed wretch.

>>1073110 That was my first time too. I ‘tried’ things but they didn’t seem to work. I dunno.

>>1073156 I don't get it? bloodwork showed I have more than enough vitamin D. >>1073157 I've spoken with a few therapists before, but it never lead to anything. Though not always their fault, I moved quite a bit in the past few years.

IDK if you tried yet but personally EMDR therapy helped me for traumas, especially the first time doing it.

In my experience I must say that even if you "cure" from CPTSD or similar problems, I don't think a patient should have a label, all our experiences are unique, we have some troubles there and there not really a diagnostic. Put a diagnosic on someone might help in order to find what to work on first but there's rarely **one** problem to solve, it's always multi-faced. Good luck.

(hence why mental health problems are hard, especially because most of the time they're invisible)
