Probably FAQ before you can ask me anything >Why do this? I live on a farm and I'm being overwhelmed by rats. Every night I head out, I see at least 10 running amock. They don't seem to stop on growing. >Why make these thread Attention seeking maybe? Dunno. If you g/u/rls want me to stop making shit threads about rat's death then I'll stop, simple as that. Note that these are Wild rats, not your pet rats. They will bite you and infect you. It's just how they are.

With that said and done, feel free to ask me anything. I'll be sure to answer any of your concerns. I'd like to ask for advice for eliminating rats efficiently. It doesn't help that buildings around my neighborhood are abandoned, so rats breed like crazy over there. The best I can do is to just minimize their numbers on my yard.

I've tried various poisons but I feel like they're just appetizer for them. Physical traps seem to just work.

>They just live there and don't bother you, do they? Lol, no. They are trying to feast on any seeds left outdoors by the chickens. They also ruin my garden alongside moles and ants, forcing me to harvest veggies on the balcony like I'm living in some city flat. Some bigger rat attacked and killed a duck that stayed outside for the night.

Last year they managed to kill over 50 pigeons that live upstairs in the barn. Wild rats are just pests and need to be controlled.

Yeah I bet some barn cats actually would be a really good idea. I think that was kinda the solution in the olden days. Cruel though :<

>>1050685 yeah, but it doesn't stop >>1050687 dogs won't do much when rats hide underground plus dogs like that were always after my chickens and ducks. >>1050690 cats can be good for mice, but the rats are almost as big as a cat.

https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C21&q=managing+rat+rats+farm&btnG= You should probably look for something useful in scholarly publications or use some keywords from them. I’m sorry I get really exhausted reading or I’d look myself g/u/rl.
Oooh Google for rat control farm looks promising. Maybe skim the above first? You should google it too maybe!?

>Some bigger rat attacked and killed a duck that stayed outside for the night Wow, that's a hardcore rat for sure, you're dealing with BEASTS there
I wish you good luck g/u/rl, maybe I suggest trying to reach and contact the local authorities and explain them your situation with those ruined houses that the rats are using as breeding grounds Get some permits and gas the fuck out of those houses
