| I like the culture here. Reminds me a bit of how 4chan used to be, but less mean spirited. Anonymous boards are nice because I don’t have to worry about being cringe or self censoring. The big social media sites are all kinda ass, and the constant bickering and political posturing is tiring. Things feel much more casual here.
| having an app for the textboard is really comfy, and it's formatted well for mobile, so i don't have to be glued to a pc to post here. people are mostly nice here and the people who stir shit don't really stick around. /v/ is also like the best place i know for video game recs, it's a good way to see nicher stuff. i do miss when the other boards were a little more relevant but that's okay.

| In my case, it's because every so often, someone comes with something interesting to say, suggest, think about or do. Sometimes, they'll also voice out something relatable, or a worry of theirs I believe I can help with. And this board isn't really plagued with narcissists like social media in general, so it's way more comfortable. Voicing your own thoughts is safer too, since there's little chance a horde of angry idiots will look for 15 y/o posts of yours to spam to your boss.
