The work ethic follows the moralism of companies and the rest of society. When society and trust in its institutions fall and when companies are looking for maximum profit, the attitude of the employees becomes the same. The state wants taxes, companies want to use the meat pulp and the meat mass wants the same thing back. Each individual is their own company that must make their own budget work at as low cost and effort as possible.

you've answered yourself, the reasoning is that everyone is supposed to be allowed to do anything, so any "past" becomes irrelevant.
the better bet lands into finding whoever still finds interest to maintain some correction for what's going on.
if you want something good, take less care for what's this and that just make a clear decision for yourself, since we're only gonna make more garbage and let the most poor to slowly deal with it.

the suffering intrinsic to work is borne by those who believe in a reward for themselves or their children. the modern liberal would like nothing more than to orgasm constantly, and they castrate themselves as an article of faith.
why, then, should they work a day in their lives? when a skinner box is in their pocket to be reached for at all times?

>>1022201 But orgasm IS the reward for labor, for myself and my children (hypothetical, sigh~). But yeah I think the liberal worldview is much more realistic to accept pleasure is what we seek and there is no evidence of heaven or ‘true happiness’ which is disconnected from the physical, but it probably makes you less productive. I sure wish I had more spirit to not spend every moment on my phone and achieve my dreams. >>1022185 Me! Marry me richgurl! I’ll nestle us snug and safe!

"Work ethic" would be better if companies actually listened to the studies that continue to prove that that 8 hours work days and barely any breaks or leave results in a state of constant burnout for any normal person, but apparently making changes based on how the real world works is "socialism" and the average person should exceed their limits on some super saying shit for $2 an hour

Work ethic is a made up excuse, like many others. All you need is to put them in desperation and see if they're human enough to work together to get out of it.

When the company stops caring about its employees, the employees stop caring about the company.
