I got the summer blues
| It’s a nice place and all, but all my high school friends have moved on already. It doesn’t help that my earning potential is much higher in my college town too.
I’m not gonna self pity too hard, I know plenty would kill to be in a stable little suburb like my hometown is, but still.

| It’s a weird shock feeling with the semester coming to a close and my friends all going home for summer. I’ve been saying “ugh, I just want this to be over already,” but now that it is I almost wish I could go back. I had major problems these last few months, yeah, but I developed friendships to a level I haven’t since before COVID - maybe deeper than ever in my life, even. I also got a step ahead on my love life too. I don’t hate my hometown, but I can’t say I’d rather be there.
