| Can we get back the old site please? I figure it's something related to anon e incident instead of a simple improvement on the phone app, since it affected the whole site but they should find another way. A text based "image"board doesn't require those heavy additions.

So the reason it uses an XHR now is for mobile. On the old site, if you replied to a post, it was a simple form POST, and the result of that POST would redirect you back to the thread page. This meant you had to press back TWICE to get out of the thread, which was really annoying people on mobile. That's why I changed it, but there's no other reason why it has to use javascript.

| Hmm, I don't know what would cause that, but I do know that it won't refresh until you restart the app (and fully kill it from the app switcher), or press the refresh button from inside the thread watcher. Otherwise it should make the icon red again when it's done refreshing and there was at least one new reply

| That shouldn't be the case unless you have javascript disabled as well.
IDs are hidden by default. On page load, if you're on mobile it checks whether you have userscript enabled or not. If it is enabled, or you're not on mobile, it will re-show the IDs.
